In New York City for its sophomore year, the 2009 Summit was set just after the US presidential inauguration, and alongside the anniversaries of the fall of the Berlin Wall (20th) and the birth of Abraham Lincoln (200th).
History Makers proudly presents the most innovative ways of making history resonate with today.
Thank you for attending History Makers 2009!
Set just after the US presidential inauguration, this year’s summit made a little history of its own. Engaging speakers, exclusive networking events, and inspired dialogue between close to 300 delegates, Broadcast Executives, and Commissioning Editors made History Makers 2009 a great success.
Highlights included the Opening Keynote, examining the links between Abraham Lincoln and the newly appointed 44th President of the United States, delivered by the esteemed Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. Historian Laurence Rees, Waltz with Bashir, and 102 Minutes That Changed America were honoured as History and current affairs’ best.
