Jean-Luc VERNHET joined Ina (Institut National de l’Audiovisuel) in 2000 to become a member of the Board of Directors. In charge of Marketing and Sales, he is responsible for developing the licensing of archives worldwide to a large number of producers, broadcasters, home video publishers and communication agencies. Joining Ina at the beginning of the digital turnaround, he contributed in developing and launching in 2004 “Inamediapro”, the world’s largest online archives library to date, the first “webtool” designed for film researchers and TV producers. In a new strategic move, Ina has been in the past few years expanding its offer – outside the French public broadcasters output – by securing commercial deals with private collections including for instance IOC contents and the premium “Yann Arthus Bertrand” aerials. A graduate of Marketing and Communication from Paris University, Jean-Luc Vernhet developed most of his previous career with positions in marketing research and marketing information systems for various consumers’ goods companies.
