Goldhagen will present the making of "Worse Than War" (produced by JTN Productions and WNET/13 for PBS), an important documentary that addresses the phenomenon of genocide and mass killing in our time. He will explore the challenges of turning his complicated book on a complex and sprawling subject into a tight, analytical, emotionally gripping, and cinematic film. Showing clips from the film, which include, riveting testimony from perpetrators, he will shed light on this process and its result.

Daniel will be signing copies of his book, Worse Than War: Genocide, Eliminationism, and the Ongoing Assault on Humanity, after his keynote in the delegate lounge.

The Middle East conflict between radical Islam and the West seems to have become a protracted conflict. In a world where formats, portals, platforms and viewers are changing faster than the wheels on a slot machine, this session engages in a challenging debate between archive houses, broadcasters and the poor, old ‘producers in the middle.’ This session sets out on a mission to find what is the future of ‘The Archive Film’ and whether or not there is anything nasty in its past.
